Moving to Wakeijuku Dormitory
The Beginning Of New Things
After landing here in Japan, I have finally been able to make it to my destination where I met my counselor and informed me of everything I will need to know such as how to apply for classes, getting my residence card, and retrieving my SIM card for me to have access to data for calls, text, and web. Now that I spent the past couple of days applying for the necessary documents to receive everything and for me to be able to apply for classes, I can begin to search for places for me to live at. To be honest, I was really focused on getting to Japan as fast as I can, that I forgot to think about where I would be living meanwhile going to school. The good news is that I was provided a room for a hotel for a week for me to meet and greet everyone else that was accepted from the program under the CSU system. I managed to find a place to live and I contacted the dorm facility.
I felt something special about this place and I when I first arrived there, I fell in love with the environment. When you walk in the entrance, you are greeted with the sensation of nature, kind of like walking into a new world. For me, I may not look like it, but I have very fond place in my heart for nature and its beauty and this place really resemble my love for it. When I went to the office, I was greeted by a kind man which introduced me to the dorm, along with some tenants already living there. Everyone there is really kind and generous and respectful to each other, something for me that has been tough to find. I was told there that everytime I see my fellow roommates, I greet "こんにちは" which means hello in Japanese. When I got to my room, I was given my key along with my mailbox number and a strip of tickets for me to receive breakfast and dinner. With that, it was official, I had finally moved into the dorms. What was really nice about this place is that it is really close to the school along with other places such as restaurants and convenience stores which really convenient for me. I really can't wait to see what is in store at this place I will call home. Keep you all updated on this Wakeijuku life!!!
